I was thinking. I need a manly scented shampoo, enough of this fruity scented shampoo. So should I get a shampoo and add cologne to it? Do you think that would be a good idea? That way if I wear cologne on my body I can match it to smell the same on my hair. A complete uniformed smell.

I'm a male/18

I'm considering growing my hair out to my shoulders.

Any tips on growing it and maintaining it?

Also, is there any way I can braid my own hair?

What about cornrows?

Has anyone tried twist-a-braid?

I style my hair with gel everyday. I use it to tame my kinky curly hair. Right now I'm using "ic" gel by Fantaisia. It makes my hair hard and it flakes sometimes. I tried " Miss Jessie's Curling Pudding" Hated it! It makes my hair shink making it look really short. Have any of you out there discovered any New and Improved hair gels? I figure they"ve got to come out with some thing better soon.

Literally, my scalp has been itching for 3 weeks straight. Because this often happens and goes, I blamed the itching on my severe dandruff, although no medication works, and thought nothing of it. My mom started brushing my hair and she picked out tons of small, ant-sized creatures. My hair is falling out continuosly, whilst my scalp is pink from the irritating bugs and itching. School is in two days. I'm dying of stress, I have 3 midterms coming up which I haven't even studied for and now these hideous zits are popping up, I don't know if it's the lice/bugs or stress. Or both. IS it lice? If so, in the crappy situation I'm in, what can I do?

I'm 16. Right now I have longer hair (like halfway down my neck) because I think I look better with that than with really short hair. I was considering experimenting with something else though, preferably something in between. Can anyone give me a picture they think would look good so I can show it to my barber? I have dark brown hair and brown eyes if it helps.

Thanks!

I don't really like the idea of adding chemicals in my hair, i come from a very health-concious family an dhave avoided chemicals most of my life...and heat isn't an option for me because my hair is way too think and burns very easily...if someone could tell me a good way to curl without all this, that would be great.

ok i actually have 2 questions, one is i just used that l'oreal feria bleaching crap and it doesnt say on the instructions how long i need to wait before i can shampoo my hair so i was wondering if anyone knew that, my second questions is obviously i just destroyed my hair and i use pantene pro v usually but is there a shampoo and conditioner thats not too expensive that will help my hair not feel like straw? my hair is very thick and course anyways and pantene works for it most of the time but i wanna know if theres something better for it thats around the same price i know everyones hair is different so ill list what works and doesnt work on my hair. pantene works, dove kinda works, suave vo5 and tresseme dont work at all. so please give me advice on both of my questions and i will choose a best answer.
