Hair - December 2006

i've had the same one for almsot 4 years now, just spiking it up with gel on very short hair, but its getting old but i would like to know of some that are "in" i would like answers with picture references and the name of the hairstyle please also if you can...the size and type of hair you need for that style for example:
Wavy hair, 3 inches long with layers....
im kind of looking for long/emo/surfer/preppy hair styles that would go with very straight and thin hair...Please help

why does everyone keep saying dont dye your hair, itll fall out. or go to a salon or youll ruin your hair!
ive dyed my hair over 5 times in a week with bleach and its been fine, it has gone a little dry in places whers its been redyed about ten times over the years, but apart from that ive saved sooooo much money, it would have cost hundreds to go blonde at a salon, but is about 20 quid each time ive done it in dye.

And show the stylist a picture of color you want your hair dyed and she dyes your hair but it doesnt look like the photo, can you have her keeping changing it until it looks how you want for the cost of one hair treatment?

my hair is long and permed and a lot falls out when i comb it hard,but when i first get my hair done NONE comes out AT ALL. But when a couple of days pass,my hair gets all hard and brittle but when i comb it gently it doesn't fall out..Why?

My demi permanant haircolor came too dark. Woman at the product number said use cold oil treatment to try fading, that hot seals color in. I thought hot oil stripped. Any thoughts?

I have really thick, curly hair and when I grow it out it just adds to the volume and goes outward so I want it to be more emo. So far I've grown my bangs to almost the tip of my nose, I have a flat iron that only straightens it out about %65 but is still remains poofy, so I need it to stay flatter and definitely more straight.

I cut my hair a while back, and it looked good, but now, it's starting to grow out, and i don't like the way it looks. The only way i can comb it so that it looks okay is straighten it and leave it down, but i'm tired of that...what else could i do with it?!?!? please help!!! i don't want to cut it again because i want to let it grow...
