Have you tried gels or mousses? They work wonders. If your hair is fine try a mousse. Ask a woman what she would recommend or buy it at a hair salon. I've found that products at a salon cost about $1 more but they're worth it. Any curling iron should work; you just have to decide what size you want.

when you go to bed comb your hair around in a circle then ut something on top to hold it for the night then when you wake up it will be perfect!
