Visit a good salon...this doesn't mean the $5.00 chop shops...a quality salon will have a nice selection from lines like Redken, Rusk, Grand Webb and quite a few others. One brand might work on your hair type better than others...that could be because a person might have fine, medium or even course hair. If you're taking any medication, that can affect what you should be doing with your hair...or even if you swim in a pool can make a difference.

WhiteRain and VO5 are what I use and I have brown hair. Does that classify as dark hair?
