Here's the story - it's kind of long, sorry! I naturally have medium-dark blonde hair and wanted to try a lighter, cooler shade of blonde. About a week ago I used a loreal at-home dying kit, and I'm not pleased with the color. It turned out nothing like the color on the box! So now I have orange-ish roots that I am DYING to change.
Since I condition my hair well, it's still very healthy and not the least bit dried out. So my question is, should I take my chances at a salon to get it redyed? Are they successful at getting your desired color? And will it be horrible for my hair to dye over the new color? I'd appreciate any feedback, I've never been to a salon before...

I just starting wearing glasses again and it seems that my hair around my wear my glasses are is coming out. I dont see any of it coming out, just see it getting thin. Could it be my glasses that is taking my hair out? This seems to be the only part of my hair that has a problem. And if they are doing this what product should I use to help it to grow thick and strong?

I am going to layer my hair, but I am unsure of where to start the layers at. Btw, my hair is thin, straight, and is 2 inches below my shoulders. Should I start my layers at jaw-length?

my hair is very heavy and has never held a curly or wavy style for more than 30 minutes up til now, even perms fall out straight away. i am bored of having poker straight hair and would love to have either a curly or wavy style for New Years Eve, that will last from 6pm til about 2am, has anyone got any advice for this? my hair is shoulder length, slightly layered, fine but with lots of hair, hence it is heavy to hold any real curly styles. any advice would be great.

I have had long hair for most of my life and am finally ready to get rid of it! It's thick, black, and wavy (I straighten it, but I would prefer a style where I would not have to do this), and it tends to frizz. I'm looking for something cute, short, and low-maintenance; I don't have bangs, but I'd be willing to get them. I also have a round face and don't really want to draw attention to that. Thanks!

A change in my work schedule means I only have 30 minutes or less to get ready for work after I go to the gym. I want a real wash-and-wear haircut that will require little or no styling.
I have fine hair with no texture. it is chin-length and too short for a ponytail or to use a claw clip. I am not afraid to go shorter. Suggestions?
PS--getting to the gym earlier is not an option. It opens at 5:30 and I have to be at work at 7:30. I work out for an hour then have about a 30-minute commute to work.
