right now i have it set at 12 its for either damp hair or hard to straighten dry hair but its still not straightening very well does any one have to go on a higher setting to get it straight?

Your hair has to be almost completely dry. Start near the roots, and slide the straightener down very slowly. When you get to the tip, hold the straightener there for about seven seconds. If it's still not completely straight, wait a few minutes so you don't damage it too much and then restraighten that section of hair.

i have one of those. i have to set it really high to get it to work. and it makes my hair super dry, i got a better 1 that i usually use, its a babyliss tourmaline 500 or something like that. it works super good and it doesnt dry out my hair as much as the remington wet 2 straight one.

Wet/Dry straighteners work great except for the one part, the wet part. You have to dry your hair almost all the way in order for it to work properly, it sucks I know but that's just how it goes.

it doesn't work like they say it does... you should really just have your hair dry so it works better
