Hey there,
I find that the Umberto Gianni range (available from Boots) has some good shampoos and conditioners for all hair types. I use the sleek and straight one, I guess that's the one you would want too.
Also, if you are considering buying hair straighteners as well, GHD do a really nice travel bag that contains the straighteners plus some shampoo and lots of other products that help keep your hair uber-straight...
If you are still having trouble finding the right products, book a quick consultation with your hairdresser (mine is free) and they will recommend the products that are best suited to you.
Hope this helps!

I like Bed Head Control Freak. I follow it up with the serum and it takes my hair does not get frizzy and stays nice and smooth. If I want my hair really straight I do use a flat iron. Even with just the shampoo and serum my hair does not get frizzy even in wet / humid conditions.

In my 28 years of living, with long hair most of the time, I have NEVER found a shampoo or hair product that improves hair. Its all hype, media driven bologna!!!
A flat iron is the closest I think you can get to str8 hair?

Try the Matrix Sleek Look line. Matrix also offers a color smart brand but I prefer the sleek look and it is fine for highlighted/colored hair. Makes it soft, straight and it smells good to boot!

anything without sulfer or sulfate in it, those added products or ingredients will strip your hair and do more damage to it.

Just look for a good color protector, but without those two things and you will be fine. Most hair models do not condition there hair and shampoo every other day or every 3 days. there is an article on them in glamor or allure for january.
