Hair - October 2006

I'm one of those people who likes to keep everything shaven down there...but like everytime i do it i get major bumps and rash. I have tried waxing, and lotion specifically for razor rash, but nothing seems to work. I even tried not shaving as hard and shaving towards the way of the hair (I usually shave against the grain which I figured out was really bad for that area!) I want to keep it all shaven down there, but i am kind of at a dead end here...i don't know what else to try. Any suggestions?

My hair has a little bit of wave, though not much. I want to get it kind of curly, without heated products. My hair doesn't hold curl from a curling iron. I can try to use a straightening iron, if someone knows how to curl it with that. I don't have much time in the morning though, so it would be better if it worked overnight. And I don't have foam curlers...they don't work with my hair. My hair has a few layers in it, the shortest one a little below my shoulders, and my hair is cut about 3 inches past my shoulders. It's thick, doesn't hold curl well, and is barely wavy. Thanks for ya'lls help!

1.my hair is really thick. i hate it. all my buds tell me that you dont want thinner hair but i do. i have it cut in layers but when i straighten it half way through the day it gets all flipped and stuff.
2. is there anything besides hair spray b/c hairspray makes my hair super dull and ugly.
3. whats a good product to make my hair stay silky but not make it all greasy
4. and what is a really good straightner that is good on thick hair.
5. also what is a way to get my hair looking and feeling thinner
6. and i want to die my hair different from dark brown but i have fair skin so what would be a good color fair skin without making me all washed out looking. im really pale.

I have a CHI, so dont tell me to get a new straightner.
I wanted to know how can I get my hair straight (like how its supposed to)

My hair has SO much static... no matter what I do. Blow dry, not blow dry, straighten, leave natural, brush... static is EVERYWHERE! I started trying to use gel or hairspray, no luck. The fabric softeners don't work either. I haven't been able to wear my hair down to school since 6th grade... 5 YEARS!!! Is there anything anyone knows to do? The hairbows are starting to really damage my hair so I need no static so I can wear it down!
