Some good hairstyles for Long Hair. I have thick LONG hair.?

I have long hair *about to my belly button* and all I ever do with it is straighten my hair or scrunch it and they get boring after a while so WHAT ARE SOME COOL IDEAS FOR LONG HAIR? stuff that preferably is pretty easy to do. thanks a lot!

Try this; it should give you gorgeous loose curls/waves!
It might take about 20 min-40 min to do, but it is pretty easy and looks fabulous

1. Style your hair the way you normally would. Use a product such as mousse or gel and either air dry or use a diffusing hair dryer on a cool air setting. Second day hair is fine if your roots are not too oily. Before starting, use a heat-protectant gel or spray.
2. Section your hair into lots of even pieces and secure them with non-metal ties or braids.
3. Always begin with the underneath pieces of hair and work your way to the crown or top of your head.
4. Using a large barreled curling iron on low heat, take one section and place the end of your curl near the handle of the iron. Do not open the clip of the iron; simply and loosely wrap the entire section around the outside of the barrel, making sure to overlap the end so it will stay.
5. Hold the hair for up to a minute, then carefully remove it from the iron (more or less as to the thickness of your hair). Since the hair is not clipped to the iron, it may fall off the iron. Just carefully wind it around again and hold.
6. Repeat for every section.
7. Do not comb through. Using your fingers, carefully relax the curls into waves. Toss your hair and spray it lightly with a flexible hold finishing/shining hair spray if needed. (hot curls--Loreal'--works great)

If the thickness of your hair is preventing you from doing certain styles, you can ask for your stylist to use thinning shears when she cuts your hair. Also, consider layering your hair so it h as some shape and a defined style. But you can still keep the length.


Some styles:

- curl w/hot rollers or curling iron and comb through w/ a wide tooth comb to create loose waves

- pull the sides and/or bangs back from your face and: twist into a bun and clip w/bobby pins or braid into a tight braid or fishtail or just a plain ponytail

- have your stylist cut face framing layers around your face, curl the hair right around your face and run your fingers through the curls to loosen them

- pull hair into a ponytail at the nape of your neck, twist into a bun and secure with bobby pins and hair chopsticks

It's all simply a matter of personal preference. I have short hair and guys like it. And i prefer a man with short hair over a person with long hair because long tresses tends to make guys look as well girly.

Try doing your hair in pony tails or a braid or two - or just pulled up off your face with a barrette or two! Just experiment with your hair - long hair is very versatile. If you don't like thick hair have your hairdresser cut in in long layers - it will look and feel less thick and give you different looks depending on how you wear it.

well i also have thick long hair and a easy way to do my hair is straighten it then get a cremppy curler or a curling iron and do a lot of fun styles with it. You'll look great and also have a great time. have fun!
