I found the best way to shave is to use an exfoliating scrub on the bikini line before and after shaving, rinshing it off with an antibacterial soap. Make sure you've soaked the area in hot water prior to shaving. Then use a lot of shaving gel to shave, always shaving up at the end to make it smooth. Then pat dry never rub. Follow up with a thick moisturising cream over the area.
If you get razor burn the best thing to do is to wash the area twice daily and use a lot of moisuriser. And don't shave again until it's gone or the skin will become very sore.

I found you need to shave often. And the bikin-lotions helps. Use a new razor. A really sharp blade helps. Waxing is awful. I think the hair removal stuff burns. Good Luck!

why not try buying a personal trimmer that trims the hair super close to the skin? the only way you can tell its not shaven is if you run your hand against the grain. You get the look of shaven, with the unwanted bumps and irritation.

Change razors. Get one of the really good ones with the battery in it and vibrates. That's what I use, and I never have a problem. I used to get razor rash with the cheap razors.

I would suggest two things: 1) use nair/veet - I noticed less bumps in that area when I used veet -- 2) go to walmart and get bikinizone-- put it on right after shaving and the bumps never appear. I shave everything too, so I understand what u're going through.

I had the same problem and I switched to electric/battery razor for that area. Clean the razor with alcohol after every use. I have not had a problem since I switched.

if you're getting razor burn that bad i would consider letting it grow out a bit and then try getting it waxed again. you might have a skin condition as well.
