invest in a good flat iron like CHI also you have to use products such as straightening balm or serum. and don't forget to spray on humidity fighting hairspray so it stays all day nioxin makes a good one. make sure your hair is completely dry before you start straightening and always do small sections by section

1)use a really good conditioner and leave it in for 5 minutes.
2)turn your straightener on (ceramic works best I think). blow dry your hair, pointing the blowdyer down at your roots.
3) Straighten your hair, section by section, not moving too fast.

a friend of mine tried a japanese chemical straightening. she said she does not have to blow-dry or use a flat iron any more. Her hair stays straight even when its hot or humid outside.

After you wash it, blow dry it and then when it is completely dry, straighten it. Or you could get it chemically straightened, not the best for your hair.
