i heard washing your hair everyday isn't very good. but i go to the gym alot so my hair gets all sweaty and i feel i need to wash it. how should i shampoo/condition my hair?? pleas help

Since i am of African American decent, my hair is permed, but when you wash it its back to nappy but with less curl. I just want to know how to get wavy curls without damaging my frigile African hair.

I have mid-length dark brown wavy/curly hair. It is EXTREMELY thick and frizzy. I'm trying to grow out my bangs but they are at an akward length (to my chin, while the rest of my hair is to my mid-back) and they curl whever they get wet. I hate it!! Tips to straighten them? (Without a straightener?)

It gets oily by morning some people can go for like 2 days without their hair getting oily. WHy does my hair do that? Its so frustrating. What can make it stop getting oily so quik?

What's the best way to do that? Should I seperate some of the red parts with foil like they do when you're getting highlights but just not put anything on those parts and dye the rest black? That's the only way I can think that would work...

I am an unfortunate soul who has inherited coarse, dry, frizzy, too-thick, and untamable hair.

A month ago, I decided to get my hair layered so that my head would feel light for a change,

Unfortunately, its coarseness became more obvious because since my hair is slightly naturally wavy, each individual layer sticks out...and since I have a big head I look horrid!!!

WHAT AM I TO DO!!?!?!??! I HATE MY SCRATCHY HAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone have ANY advice????

I read on a sunsilk bottle that had shampoo to tame frizz, that the treatment line will eliminate frizz and produce well behaved waves and curls. What does that mean? I thought frizz was when ur seeminlgly straight hair curls up when water hits it. But that doesn't neccessarily mean it's a wreck. So what does frizz mean in context to hair, and why would ppl want to get rid of it, and how does it leave well behaved WAVES and CURLS, if that's not what a girl origionally wanted?

I have very curly natural hair. I also have a 2 1/2 month old son. I need a new hairstyle because right now basically all I do is throw it up with a hair tye. It is quite long (about halfway down my back) and I don't want to cut it (other than maybe a trim but no more than and inch). I also bleach it every couple of months. Any suggestions?
