I have dark brown hair...

Is it possible to make mine very dark brown (almost black) with home products? I heard coffee makes your hair darker, is this true? Which other products can help make my hair darker?

Hi!

Try henna... you can find it here in the US at most Indian/Middle Eastern ethnic stores....

"Henna is used as a temporary dye which wears off on its own. It is used greatly for hair coloring and temporary body art, as well as decorations on lamps and bags. It is mainly known as Mehndi or Mehandi in India and Pakistan. In North Africa and the Middle East it is typically called Henna. The dye is extracted from the dried leaf and petioles of the plant. The natural dye is traditionally found in India, Pakistan, Middle East, and Northern Africa. It can also be found in expatriate communities from these countries."

You can use Henna...it's an indian plant derived dye that you can find online, at hobby shops, or in health stores. There are different types so I would say look into which color you are going for because each varies in results. Or just go to a drug store and buy a do-it-yourself hair dye kit...they work JUST as great as salon dyes, don't believe the hype. I am a hair dye junkie!! and I'd never get it done in a salon; it's a waste of money!!

Henna contains metallic salts.really bad for the hair if you have a chemical service done at a salon and fail to tell them you have henna on your hair it may melt off your head no joke it is very bad for your hair it coats the hair shaft not a good idea

Stay out of the sun or keep it covered, and rinse with overly strong coffee or tea. Of course, when it is dry, it might retain a bit of that odor. Coffee is a great turn to some guys.

Well... I don't exactly think so. I used to have black and now I have blackish brown with some natural highlights.

No, they would only last one one shampoo. Go with a semi permanent. Its virtually damage free.
