I read on a sunsilk bottle that had shampoo to tame frizz, that the treatment line will eliminate frizz and produce well behaved waves and curls. What does that mean? I thought frizz was when ur seeminlgly straight hair curls up when water hits it. But that doesn't neccessarily mean it's a wreck. So what does frizz mean in context to hair, and why would ppl want to get rid of it, and how does it leave well behaved WAVES and CURLS, if that's not what a girl origionally wanted?

well frizzy is different for people.

usually people don't like frizz is because their hair becomes poofy and the hair just shrivles. most of the time it occurs because of the humidity. girls hate that because their hair kind of looks like a mess, so they want to tame their hair.

i don't know about that shampoo, but i think it helps curly/wavy hair to stay the same and look good, instead of frizzing up.

Frizz is when the hair is dry and split and it becomes unruly. Instead of lying in nice shapely, smooth curls the hair goes in different directions and lifts away from itself. You're so lucky to not have had to deal with frizz...it sucks! I have naturally thick, curly/wavy hair so if I don't use an anti-frizz product my hair is all over the place, lookin rather crazy.

Frizz is the messy tangle of hair that sits upon your head and everybody hates, If you have frizzy hair then use sulfate free shampoo!. If you get silicone free conditioner then even better. I use everything by the Pro Naturals argan oil line and I really really recommend their stuff. Especially the leave in argan oil, its really good for frizzy hair.

I have frizzy hair all the time... it usually happens to ppl who have natural curly hair. It means that its poofy... kind of like an afro but alittle more tammer. I want to get rid of frizz because it looks kinda ugly... so I use frizz control and a tresema moisture boister when i straightn my frizzy hair.

If you have frizzy hair, you will know it. You will look like you just ran a marathon, in the rain, with sweat and rainwater mixed in your hair... Then you ran through a car-wash turbo-jet dryer and came out on the other side on a very hot and humid beach with salt water in the air. Now imagine what your hair would look like. THAT is frizzy hair.

There's the visualization..... now for the real explanation..... it's hair that is deficient of moister. Your hair cuticles resemble shingles on a roof. When the cuticles are in good health they lay smooth and tight, the light reflects off of them and this resembles shiny hair. When your hair is lacking proper moisture the cuticles lift and kind of stick up and hair will appear dry, brittle and lackluster.

Frizzy is when you have hairs sticking out everywhere, and it looks a hot mess. When it gets wet and curly, that isn't frizz. When it gets wet and puffs out everywhere, that's considered frizz...

Yeah, I agree with Stacey F. I frizzy hair and looks like I got electrocuted or something. They're like tiny dry curls that cover your whole head. Don't wish for them.

Have you seen princess diaries 1? if you have remember in the beginning of the movie she had really "frizzy" hair? That is why people want to get ri of it. But if you haven't seen princess diaries, then frizzy hair is in another way of saying out of control.
