I used a perm solution on it . I was very suprised to see how purple the solution turned from the chemical reaction to the rust in my hair. it really took out the rust and returned my hair to it's almost fully natural color. my hair is very fine and i usually don't use perms because of that but i was desperate. so it did damage my hair . it made my hair kind of stretchy when it is wet and it breaks fairly easy when i comb it. I'm sure that someone with thicker hair would have no problem using it. but I am afraid to use another perm solution on it for fear it well really break it . they say that perming your hair changes the hair structure and makes it very porous and will make it absorb the rusty coloring even faster. well.. i believe it because my hair is orange again after only about 5 weeks from using the perm. Is there something else I can try? I have tried the malibu treatments a few times. it helps very little. PLEASE HELP ME!!! I can't stand this rusty, dull, limp hair.

the silly woman tried to tell me that it won't hurt anything to do it now. It was done just about a month ago. I've had many perms spanning 30-something years. Some good, some bad, some awesome, some horrible. I've learned "MY" hair, what it will do, what works best with it, what works worst, etc. I TRIED to tell her, but no dice (they always get offended when you try to tell them how to do their job). It's not that I'm trying to do that, but I'm the one that's worn my hair 30-something years, enduring all these "stand-offish" prideful women & men. Now, I have yet another mess. For the first time in my life, I decided to call and see if they would make it right (I've always figured if they couldn't get it right the first time, why would I let them touch it again?). She says she'll redo it and it won't hurt to do it now. I've always heard to wait months between perms, not to mention I have a frizz going on here I need to get rid of. Any ideas of how to get rid of frizz or when to perm?

My stylist accidently (I think( gave me a very curly perm. The one like old ladies get !!!!!!!!! I went to Sally's and got a relaxer which by the way all show people of color on the front of the boxes and I am White. This worried me from the start. I carefully read all the fine print and it said do not use on curly perms or hair that was permed by any products containing ammonium thioglycolate which in parenthesis is (curly perm). So I guess this leaves me out. What do I do to get my hair straight again! Help!!!!!

I wanted to get my haircut, (with layers all around) and dye the bottom layer red. However, I don't know if my school would like that. Also, would it cost more since I have black hair?

I know all flat irons do damage to the hair, but I hear that ceramic ones are better to use. Well, a couple of weeks ago I bought a new flat iron from Sally Beauty Supply. The lady recommended it and it is called Jilbere de Paris Titanium Tools Flat Iron. I really do like it but I just would like to know what is the difference between ceramic plates and titanium plates??? What makes ceramic so special? Should I return my flat iron for a ceramic Jilbere de Paris flat iron???

Hey, I like use a mach 3 razor every like 4 days because it cuts me up too bad if i use it every 2 or 3 but basically when i use it, its so super close to my skin that when i lie down in bed at night it feels so good to have a complely shaven face like no hair at all. What razor can consistantly give me a cut that close on a more average basis? Like the electric ones with the gel? Also I hella cut myself while i'm shaving all the time, is there a differnt cream I could use?

I used to let my hair dry on its own after showering, but then my mother says that if you leave it, when you grow older, you will usually get headaches. So I started blowdrying my hair. Then, my hair turned all dry lately. Help? I use Lux shampoo by the way.

Is my mom's theory correct?
Are there any products/shampoos that can help with this?
Is blowdrying my hair the source of the problem?

Thanks.

It seems like in the past year or so there are more blondes around. Is it fashion? Are women dying their hair? Or was there some freak genetic thing 20-30 years ago where a disproportionate amount of blonde babies were born?
