My stylist accidently (I think( gave me a very curly perm. The one like old ladies get !!!!!!!!! I went to Sally's and got a relaxer which by the way all show people of color on the front of the boxes and I am White. This worried me from the start. I carefully read all the fine print and it said do not use on curly perms or hair that was permed by any products containing ammonium thioglycolate which in parenthesis is (curly perm). So I guess this leaves me out. What do I do to get my hair straight again! Help!!!!!

oh oh, i know this one!! use hellman's mayo, not miracle whip. put it on your hair genourously and massage in like shampoo. cover your head with a towel or a plastic bonnet thingy. wait 30-60 minutes. trust me, i know this. it works wonders and conditions your hair, too!!

DONT DO IT YOU WILL COOK YOUR HAIR!! The perm will settle down after two weeks you just have allot of elasticity in your hair so it curls easly with perms. You can however go to Sally's and get some wella cholesterol not Queen Hellene only Wella its in a white tube and put it in and put a plastic cap over your WET hair make sure you leave it in for at least five hours keeping it moist .You can use a cap or plastic bag. This will way your perm down and it a healthier way to loosen it up. It will fall a little in two weeks but this will help .When your five hours or more are done rinse it out you can do it a couple times over the next two weeks .There only around$2. a tube. The problem is if you put more chemicals on that it will cook your hair and you be really upset at least this way the curl will settle and you will be better off. If you cook your hair it will be frizzy. You can also use saran wrap when you use the wella. This should weigh your hair down Good luck

You should not use a relaxer or anything else permanent at this point. Go buy a hair CREAM or other product made for smoothing and defrizzing hair. I believe Pantene makes one. You should be able to find one at anyplace like Target or Walmart. Apply it to your hair while it is damp and let your hair air dry. It will make the curls look looser. Perms always relax on their own in the first week or two, so hang in there.

Has it been 24 hours since you got the perm? If it hasn't then you should was your hair. It takes 24 hours for the chemicals to totally fix the curl into your hair and if you wash it most of the curl should fall out.

It it hasn't then you can add product like a straigthener and see if it will pull out the curls so that they aren't as tight.

I would go to a different salon and they may have your answers. You might have to wait until your hair grows out and that causes weight and then the perm will relax because of the weight. This happens to my hair. Once I cut it to short and when my hair began to get longer the perm ended up relaxing because of the weight.

You need professional help for this problem. DO NOT attempt to correct it yourself. You could end up losing your hair or having a worse mess. Go to a reputable salon, explain the problem and have it corrected. It will cost you but it will definitely be worth it.

If your stylist usually does a good job and this was an accident, talk to your stylist. He or She may correct it for no charge to keep your business.

Use a balsam conditioner also, it weighs the curls down, from the ends so the top straightens first.

I would use a flat iron until it grows out. Using more chemicals might damage it more than the heat used with a flat iron.
