Neither. They are both unattractive. Mohawks went out in the '80s, but they are the lesses of the two uglies here.
Maybe try a faux hawk. The sides are very short, and the top is longer on top, and you can wear it spiked up, or lay it down, making it a more versatile 'do. That way when you have to look nice, you can.

do the fauxhawk it's so very in right now, but mohawks always say a different message than hair that is gel'd into place.

Do neither. It is not original and looks plain stupid. Did you need to attract some attention or something? Try something else. Tatoos and piercings are pretty blaise now too. boring
