My gf wants to give me caramel streaks on my medium blonde hair and i said that i would let her give me the streaks. So she went out and bought a highlighting kit with a cap and hook but there are no directions. Can someone please explain what she is supposed to do to give me caramel streaks?

i've alwys wanted to curl my hair, but my hair is this impossibly straight, silky black mass that lies flat and boring against my head, and when i make an attempt to curl it, it stays curled for about 2 seconds, and then it gets wavy... and then five seconds later, its back to normal!
but im totally broke so i cant buy a curling iron... and i really wanna curl my hair..
PLZ HELP!

I'm african american and I've been wearing my hair natural since last November. My hair is really thick and healthy now and I want to wear it straight again but, I don't want to go back to chemical relaxers. Everytime I am in the shower and I rinse my hair with conditioner, small clumps of it fall out in my hand. I know it's normal to shed, but I'm not sure if it is normal for so much to come out. I guess I don't brush my hair often though because it is wavy ...:/ Any input?
