Vitamin E helps for hair growth. I have very thick, wavy hair and I bought a large flat brush. It helps with the tangles, so I don't pull out a lot of hair extra hair. I think the average like 50-100 hairs are lost on an average day. So if you're only brushing every third day, that's about 150-300 hairs.

Well, yes, because when you don't brush it, all the loose hairs get wedged in with the curly ones and sit there until you finally brush. When you get out of the shower, spray in a light leave-in conditioner and just pick through it (if you're wearing it curly), this way you're getting through it without excess hair breakage. A great vitamin I've taken is just a cheap one you can buy most places. I bought mine at Dollar Tree. They were called: Body, Skin, and Nails and were mostly B vitamins. All natural and good for you!

Try zinc supplements, they improve hair growth, lots of hairs shed everyday, usually when people have straight hair, they dont notice their hair falling out cuz it easy for the hair to just drop but its harder for a curly hair to fall out cuz its tangled in all the other curls which is why when u do brush it, u untangle all the hair and let loose the hair which was supposed to fall out anyway.

People are said to lose up to 100 hairs a day.. so if you don't do a thorough brush/comb every day then when you do do it it may seem like a lot.

umm...shedding is what happens to animals. humans loose hair.
try taking zinc or vitamin c ( a miltivitamin like centrum would help)
if that still doesn't cut it, try washing your hair with a fortifying shampoo that has conditioners and is said to strengthen your hair (i prefer garnier fructis)
but remember, it's not unusual for any normal person to go through a whole day and loose up to 300 hairs.
