my hair is so frizzy at the ends!!! it's like way past split ends!im a swimmer so does mthat have any thing to do with it?its so hard to brush thru!!!any ideas how to fix that?

I'm 12 and I want to get highlights but my mom says not til I'm in COLLEGE! I have two friends who are both a year younger than me and they both just got highlights and they look so cool!
