I plan to let my hair grow out long past the middle of my back. It is VERY thick and wavy. What are some styles that would make it more easy to manage? Any advice would be great!

Any kind of thinning and texturizing your stylist can do to the hair will make a difference! If you want to keep the length but make it more manageable, have your stylist do a texturizing technique called 'sliding'. She can slide the scissors down sections of your hair to help thin the ends and add rock and roll texture!

I love long hair because you can do so much with it...and on days I don't want to mess with it; I can always put it in a ponytail. Experiment with different clips and hair ornaments. I put my ponytail a little higher on my head ( and keep it a little looser) turn my head upside down and then clip it at the base of the ponytail from underneath...and it converts it to a very modern look.

I also like to pull my hair back away from my face, gather up the back; and then hold it together with a large clip from behind. Banana clips are fun, if your hair isn't too fine...otherwise they don't stay in too well.

Another trick is to layer three ponytails, one on top of the other for a stunning new look. My personal favorite is to pull the hair up from the sides and clip it from the back and let the back section cascade down. I also like French braids. Remember to keep your hair trimmed, so it always looks healthy. Have fun!

really thick hair can be a pain to manage, as im sure you know. i would go to a salon and ask to get it thinned, it feels so much lighter and is easier to control. but if you dont want to get it cut, low or side ponytails and various braids can work.. look at the link for some ideas! :)

turn the waves into loose curls. Some people who have those kind of curls (not always the length) are cheyanne kimball and ashlee tisdale.
