and i need advise on how to layer hair...and make sideswept bangs....

hold the scissors at an angle and cut downward .... oi i would have to show you. let some hair fall away. dont just chop or it will look really really choppy and bad. for sideswept bangs (which i have and did myself) start near the middle or a little to the opposite side that you want them to sweep too and cut downward almost sliding the scissors while cutting.

sideswept bangs jsut mean that her hair will be parted really far to one side, with bangs long enough to reach across her forehead...
i suggest having it professionally done, but if you're going to cut it, make sure you hold it out perpindicular to her head so that it won't lay funny...
dont make too many layers yourself!

As a professional cosmetologist I suggest that you have a professional cut her hair if you don't know how. There are certain ways to hold the shears to cut her hair down in layers as well as holding it in certian angle degree.

wet her hair,use a fine comb, comb her hair but not all the way through, then move the comb in an angle that you want her bangs to have. then cut it following the angle it makes! that's the way I do it

make sure when you are making her bangs... you cut on an angle so they aren't straight.
