I took my almost black hair platinum once, it started breaking off a few days later but it was gorgeous for a few days. If you do it yourself, you must bleach it with the powder/liquid bleach you can get at the beauty supply store and you MUST use red/gold corrector. It's a purple liquid that you mix in with the bleach. If you don't use red/gold corrector your hair WILL turn orange! After you have stripped all the color out, use a plantinum blonde toner (hair dye) with a 40 volume peroxide. You may have to bleach more than once before it is light enough to tone. Buy a really good Intense repairing conditioner and use between all bleachings and you will pretty much need to use that every time you wash your hair too. Good Luck.

DON'T DO IT! Please do not do it. I'm studying to become a professional cosmetologist and I know that the only way you will be able to do that to your hair by yourself is if you use a certain process. When you bleach your hair, and in your case, from brown to blonde, you are stripping nutrients and all pigment from your hair. When girls do this theirselves, they usually end up coming to the salon with brassy, orange hair and need to spend more money than they would in the first place getting it fixed. This is because simple hair dyes you can buy at drugstores are not strong enough to bleach your hair to your ideal color. I reccomend going to a professional, they really do know what they are doing and they can give you better results than you can even hope to get on your own. I hope I answered your question.

you should just wait and have it done professionally. I once tried to dye my medium blondish red hair platinum and it was green. I cried and had to have it professionally repaired. Be careful.

pay the money to do it the right way. Because if you do it yourself it will come out all brassy and orange and you will cry and want to shave your head. And do not go to Fantastic Scams they suck pay the extra bucks to get it done right.

why would you want that?
white hair?
and then when new hair grows in, it'd look funny. then you'd have to keep dying it and dying it. and you'd have to wait like 5 years if you wanted your NATURAL hair color back
