Anyone ever had highlights at a Super Cuts, Fantastic Sams,or Pro Cuts type place before? If so, how did it compare to the more expensive salons?
I'm considering having it done because it'll be about $50 cheaper and I figure, how hard can it be? I mean, I know plenty of people who do decent highlights at home.
But I'm wanting to get advice from someone who has used a lesser expensive salon.
Good or bad experiences will be appreciated. Thank you!

I have two tiffany silver jewelry that I need to get cleaned. i researched here and was told to use toothpaste, is there a particular toothpaste that I need to use? Because right now, I have crest toothpaste with whitening plus scope. It's green color, wont that turn my jewelry in a weird color? Do i have to use the white toothpaste? Is there any other way to clean it? Like lemon juice?

Ok i have a date this saterday and im trying to find out what to wear, im 16, a guy, i want this to look kinda preppy, and it will be kinda cold outside.

I was thinking blue sweater with a pink polo under it and kahkis for pants.

Or i could do the blue sweater with a pink dress shirt and kahkis.

Or i could just do a oxford dress shirt, kahkis, and a basic jacket.

I always wear stubble (like "House MD") or a full beard (like Al from "Home Improvement"). I'm presently sporting a full beard.

I can't shave because I get painful boils if I do. Growing my facial hair out is the only way to effectively prevent and avoid them.

I shampoo and condition my beard, and keep it well-groomed, but I have one small problem, the skin underneath gets dry. How can I moisturize my underlying facial skin without cutting or shaving my beard off and without getting my facial hair all gooey?

The owner of Playboy is a woman. Women like Britney/Paris/ Lindsay show private parts to get publicity. Tons of educated rich famous women decide to bare it all in Playboy to get more fame and money. I know a lot of women who use their looks to get ahead, without thinking of how it effects other women who are not good looking.

This is not an anti-woman rant. I just want to understand why women blame men and society at large for problems such as anorexia, bulemia, low self-esteem regarding looks etc...?

Women are far more interested in clothes, make up, fashion magazines, talking about good looking people (at least shows such as the View/Tyra Banks/Oprah...) while men are usually more interested in ESPN, Sports and violence.

So why do women not make an effort to convince other women to behave in a more modest way and to stop checking out clothes and shoes and fashion magazines? Watching CNN will make you confident, but watching Tyra or Oprah will only add to your insecurities.
