try not to use too much foundation if any at all in the days leading up to your wedding...makeup is oily, clogs your pores, and is the perfect invitation for nasty bacteria and dirt to embed itself in your pores causing pimples...
i don't really recommend products that are "fashionable" per say as the quality of the products tend to be compromised by the makers' desire to attract customers....
I highly recommend "Cetaphil", you can get it at any rite aid or similar pharmacy (no, it's not prescription), it can be used with water as a cleanser/moisturizer or without water as a long term cleansing mask...and no it won't look like a mask if you use it without water, you put it on as if it were moisturizer but rather than wash it off with water you blot the excess with a towel or tissue and you do not need to moisturize afterwards...i alternate the two methods....it's a really gentle cleanser that wont dry out your skin AT ALL, it quite literally leaves skin as smooth and dry and healthy as a baby's butt while simultaneously it is very effective at clearing up skin as it is developed and produced by dermatologists...another thing you can try is "Queen Helene's Mint Julep Masque", its a minty mud mask that helps dry pimples, clear blackheads, and srhink enlarged pores..however, since it seems your skin is like mine and dries up very easily, i suggest you use it once a week or every other week and moisturize immediately after so that your skin does not crack.....

oh, and by the way, try to relax...stress won't help your situation...one more thing, i wouldn't recommend getting a facial, it seems like they clean your skin but all thats happening is that the oils in your pores are getting squeezed out and pimples that were unlikely to ever surface are forced to pop up...also, squeezing your pores, whether you do it yourself or have a "professional" do it, only enlarges the pores and over time the change is irreversible and you end up with visibly large pores that are more likely to easily trap bacteria and dirt....

hope that helps!! oh, and congratulations!! hope everything turns out well for you :)

I had the same problem, for years. It really pissed me off that I should have been more popular, except for the pimples. I am smart and funny, but they just ate away at my self-esteem. I was determined to get rid of them by hook or by crook.

I tried a whole bunch of things like proactive and others but nothing seemed to work. I tried a few different books and ebooks and nothing helped. Then, I read an awesome e-book that will teach you all the home remedies that you will need to get rid of acne permanently. At first I thought it was too expensive, but then I realized that I pay this much like every month for pimple medicine and washes, and this was a one time thing. Best decision I ever made! They explained exactly what was causing the pimples and how I could stop them and get rid of them. My doctor told me that he knew ome of this stuff, but doctors never like to tell you natural stuff. they only like to tell you about medicines. Not only did it help me stop getting pimples, it also helped clear up my onld pimple scars, which were really pissing me off!
You can learn about the book at this link http://bambiberg.solution72.hop.clickbank.net
I tried some books from my dermatologist, but they didn't help me, plus I kept on forgetting to return them to the library. The best thing about the ebook is that i downloaded it right away, and i had the copy forever.

I also have problems with oily skin and acne that get dry in areas. I'm 44 and have had acne all my adult life. Here is my skin care regime...
I wash twice a day with Origins cream bar. It does not dry like other products do and will get your skin clean make up and all.
Then I have a prescription antibotic lotion that my dermatologist prescribes. The generic name is Clindamycin phosphate. I put this on my acne areas in the morning and then apply an oil free foundation after I use concealer to cover up any red acne areas. I apply the antibotic lotion over my entire face at bedtime. When my face gets really bad (as it has been lately) I have a prescription for an antibotic that I take to get it somewhat under control again. This works internally and externally to fight the problem.
I use a gentle scrub such as Aveno Skin brightening daily scrub at least every other day after I wash with my cream bar. Although in your case I would take it easy at first to not irritate your skin any further.
You need to be very careful using products that are drying for your face. The Origins line (available at Dillards and other department stores) is an all natural line of skin care and make up products. I really like this line as it is not drying for me and I love their cream bar for washing my face. They also have a liquid cleanser called Mint Wash but I found it drying and didn't like it as well as the cream bar. I have never had any problems with the bar drying my skin.
I used to do as you have done and used astringents and harsh cleansers on my oily skin (Clinique) because I thought it would clear it up. What happens is you strip the skin of it's natural oils and then your face gets oilier faster and faster during the day. Then you get dry areas as well that are painful and flaky and the acne is still present anyway...
You didn't say how old you are but even in your early 20's you should be using a light moisturizer for oily skin. I started using one when I was 20 and I don't look anywhere near my 44 years.
Good luck. I know how very frustrating this can be. Going to a dermatologist may be your best bet since your wedding is so close. I can take time to get the skin cleared.

Someone is actually marrying you?

Please, just joking! Stress can cause pimples, dry skin and cracks. I believe you should get a decent prescription from your doctor (not shop products) and relax too.

When I worry or get stressed out, I always turn into mr pig face. When I am happy and relaxed, my skin seems to improve.

Try and drink PLENTY of water, eat fruit and veg and also drink green tea! I promise you that you will see a big difference in a WEEK!

You need to see a professional facialist. No one can assess your skin properly over the internet, and I have been doing it for over 15 years.

Toners basically readjust the pH of your skin after using water, because the pH of water is too alkaline and will cause other problems. you need to find the right toner, not just any one will do. And the right cleanser and moisturiser to complement the toner. some salons will offer pkgs including a pre wedding facial, ask yours if they do.

Proactive doesn't work for everyone.

You've definitely got some very dry skin. Moisturize!! Also, when you go to buy your new face wash, get one that's for dry skin, which will hydrate your skin.

Drink tons of water and cut back on salty stuff.

if you're skin is dry you shouldn't really have pimples =/ go see a dermatologist if the pimple don't go away. As for the dry skin, get a GOOD cleanser made especially for very dry skin. Good Luck=]]

It could be your stress and lack of water. The best tip for any bride-to-be is drink water! Take this saying seriously. It'll flush out your body and give you healthy glowing skin, and it'll get rid of dark circles under your eyes. I have this awesome website I use whenever I want to use natural remedies for beauty care, I think you'll like it! Here's the link:

Look at the list on the right.

Good luck!!!
