I'm looking for a pottery class that I can take in Singapore and wondering if anyone can suggest a place? Would prefer to be among other adults as opposed to with the kiddies.

Any suggestions?
Thanks!

I want to make masks of my entire family(children and grandchildren and spouses). My Idea is to use gause impregnated with plaster of paris,( like they make casts for broken arms with.)...molding the wet gause over their faces(well greased of course and with nose holes)and making a sort of a mold of their face. Then use that mold to pour more plaster of paris or ? into to get a good image of their faces. I will remove the "faces" and use them for a mural for the wall.
What are the best materials to use?Your Help is appreciated....

Can polymer clay be used to create an oil lamp or other type of vessel for containing a flame? Or is there a better option for making an oil lamp in a home oven?

While in New Orleans two years ago I came across this unusual piece of art and didn't buy it. I am trying to find one now and hope someone out there has some information. It was called a Curious Specimen. The artist had taken the skeletal bones of dead mice and reconstructed them and added in butterfly wings and mounted the creation in a glass enclosure. He said they were created to be "fairy skeletons". They were the strangest, most fascinating pieces I'd ever seen. I have searched and searched and have come up with nothing.
I know the gallery was on Decatur Street in the French Quarter. I can't completely make out the artist name on the card - looks like Peter Ninsen. I tried the email address but heard nothing back. Don't know if the gallery was distroyed in the hurricane. Thank you for any help.
