Okay, I have narrowed it down to three cameras. The Nikon D80, Canon EOS 400D Rebel XTi and Sony DSLR-A100. I am having a hard time choosing. The Nikon is sort of $$$ and the Sony has a image stabilization, which is nice and the Canon I am getting mixed reviews. Any ideas which one is better out of the three for a beginner photographer?

I'm looking at DSLRs... and besides the name brand, ISO capabilities, and price... am not seeing a big difference between the two cameras?

As a serious amateur, which one should I get? Is the Leica worth almost $400 more? The flip-out screen feature is IMPORTANT to me, and I'm not seeing any other 10 megapixel cameras which have this feature.

I am a subscribing member of www.webshots.com, and thus have access to the "pro shots" section, where there are some really really nice quality photos. As part of a project I wanted to take these photos and put them into a slideshow accompanied by music in a montage, but I have to download them in .wbz format, which can only be opened by the Webshots Desktop application. Is there any way for me to convert these files into regular .jpg or .gif files?

Does Photoshop save jpegs to the highest standard? I think it is to do with compression. So far my The Gimp savings have failed to be acceptable.

Let's say you were attending an important event as a guest, such as a wedding, and you had your photograph taken by the photographer hired for the occasion. When you later see the picture, you notice that it's been retouched.

It's tasteful and relatively subtle-- teeth whitened, a squinting eye opened, a blemish removed, a scar softened, that sort of thing. Would you be offended by this?

(I ask this as a photographer and digital artist who doesn't want to step on the metaphorical toes of my clients' guests.)

There is a pink tear in the picture and two men are playing musical instruments. They are standing on a platform which seems to be his collar. The men are made up of small lines. I saw it in a book called "Masters of Deception". I need it for my art class soon.

Anyone know how to add color to a B&W photo using Picasa? (e.g, adding color to just the t-shirt). My original photo is in color and I want to change it to B&W using Picasa and then just add tints of color to certain items (like make the eyes blue or a t-shirt pink, etc). Please explain how to do this step-by-step, if you know how. Thanks.

I have a Polaroid 600 series, 640 land camera found at my grandparents, with a lucky package of film. Unfortunately, I haven't used one of these since I was a kid and can't find any help on the internet about how to load film or to even take a picture. Can someone give me general information on how use this type of camera [loading film, taking picture, etc.]?

you know...a filmic equivalent of roy stuarts erotic photography....
erotic and classy....but with no "action"

if burlesque is making a comeback...doent that suggest that guys are as aroused if not more so..by women dressed provocatively..than by women with no clothes on at all?

surely im not alone in being turned on as much by lingerie photographs and erotic/sexy photography in glossy art&beauty magazines as your average top shelf magazine?

I would like to get into the adult photography buisness. I have lots of willing models but i dont know the laws. I also found a few places online to sell photo's but they dont give price's. So i was wondering, do you pay the models a one time sum or a percentage of every photo sold? Also, anyone know where to find the laws pertaining to this industry? Thanks for any help.

I want to take up photography as a hobby this summer. I don't know much about cameras other than the $20 one a purchased at CVS. I want to pay about $100 and get something small and easy to carry around to photograph buildings and nature. Can someone give me any suggestion about which TYPE (digital or film & 3mm, point and shoot, etc.) and BRAND I should buy?

I just got a Minolta X-370 to learn on, but I'm unsure about what type/brand of film I should use. I would definitely like to use color and black & white film. I'll most likely be taking portraits and landscape pictures indoors and outdoors. Suggestions? Any help is appreciated, thanks.
