I am a subscribing member of www.webshots.com, and thus have access to the "pro shots" section, where there are some really really nice quality photos. As part of a project I wanted to take these photos and put them into a slideshow accompanied by music in a montage, but I have to download them in .wbz format, which can only be opened by the Webshots Desktop application. Is there any way for me to convert these files into regular .jpg or .gif files?

I did a search and found the website below which says they can convert Webshots files. I have not tried it and cannot recommend it. But here it is:

Probably not directly, and that usually suggests a potential breach of copyright. Check that or you may lose your membership, or worse!

If you will accept low res copies, set your monitor to the max resolution it will take then just hit the Print Scrn key (next to F12). That puts an image into your pictures folder (usually) in BMP format. That can be altered to jpg in almost any digital image software package. Or, you can download a file called "GrabClipSave". It's free, basically takes screenshots but will let you say which file it goes to and what format. I use it and it works fine.
