What resolution size do i need in order to print large sized photos such as 16 x 20 or 20 x 30?

Hey Jesse,

You need a large Photo printer to do the job, or reduce the size. You mention 30 inches, that is fairly large, you might want to consider a Poster size printer. Here are a couple of sites.

The alternative is to take your photo images to a store, specializing in printing large photos. Depending on the quantity of these that you print, it might be a case for a cost justification, pro and con sheet.

The best for this sizes will be about 3000x2000 dimensions (about 6 Megapixels) with 200-300 dpi resolution

You're better off going to a printing company (Kinkos maybe). They usually have the hi-tech printers and will get your prints crystal clear. Make sure you have your photo saved on disc. It's better for them to get it directly from the computer than scanning a photo.
