I have a Polaroid 600 series, 640 land camera found at my grandparents, with a lucky package of film. Unfortunately, I haven't used one of these since I was a kid and can't find any help on the internet about how to load film or to even take a picture. Can someone give me general information on how use this type of camera [loading film, taking picture, etc.]?

This camera is not much diferent from the new ones, the film is the same 600 film pack, but chek if they fit easily in it (some old polaroid need to have trimed some small plastics under the modern 600 film pack in order to fit inside). Your old film pack is probably useless after so many years. The instant film degrades very fast.

About the battery for this model, (on new 600 films the battery is inside the film pack not in the camera) you can ask some electronic technician to do an adapter so that you can use some modern batteries, and if you get a good camera repair shop may be they can mod the camera to use the battery from the film pack.

If you go to the Polaroid website, it has info about loading the film its pretty standard film that you would find for any pro film holder so there should be lots of Info. the real problem with these land camera is that the Battarie that is neede for them (compartment is found on the left side on the back, and it just folds open. ) is no longer made by anyone that I could find. and I have looked Everywhere.
