Hello. I have two real good free photo editing goodies for you. I personally use FastStone Image Viewer, a freebie that works real good and is esay to use. Another good app is Photo Filtre and it's good as well. If you'd like to apply filters to your digital images, then Opanda Filter works real well and is free also. Hope you find something you like. BTW you should do a "save as" after editing an image so you'll have your original and the edited version.

My wife uses a great Photoshop clone called Photo Deluxe. When you use version 6.0 it's free. However, if you use a newer version you get into the paid version. I forget the site but google Photo Deluxe 6.0.
Gimp is another option, however I've never used it.

Gimp has a similar featureset to photoshop and is free and opensource. It is available for Windows. http://www.gimp.org/
Picasa has less features and is geared towards photographers rather than graphics people and is also free. http://www.picasa.com

This one's decent: http://www.picnik.com/
Also, for a photoshop-like thing that you can download free: go to http://www.linux.com and they have a photoshop-worthy program. Have fun!
