The best way to learn photography is by taking lots and lots of photos.. Try to join the photography online community where you can upload your photos and let others rate/comment your photos.

You can also join the micro-stockphotos community where you can sell your images and get them rated and commented. I think it's the best place to learn and also sell your photos..

Go to http://www.dphotojournal.com/sell-photos-online/ That guy makes around $2000/mnth and he's doing it part time.

I just started last month and get around $170, well..I'll let you know when I've reached my first $1000/month.. ;)

No one became a star over night - no matter what industry you are in. Arts, Computers, Electronics, etc.

Becoming a great photographer is a lifetime of practice and constant learning. One of the most decorated photographers I ever had the pleasure of knowing (Don Blair) never concidered himself great.

Take time to learn from other professionals - whether you do it by college, apprenticeship, books, DVDs, organization sponcered training, etc.

To sell photos is to advertise them. Local art galleries, street fairs, craft days, museums, libraries, corners, the list goes on.

Well, to SELL your work, you need to be REALLY good and having your name out in the biz is really important. people buy photos that suck from good names.

Being good at photography can be greatly improved by a college level course. Most colleges, esp 2 yr colleges, offer some photo courses. This would help you gain control of the camera and be able to frame good shots. Creativtity mixed with camera skill is what makes someone good at taking pictures. You need spades of both to be good enough to make $$.

This reminds me of the classic story...

A young man is lost and goes up to a gentleman on the streets of New York and asks, "Excuse me, sir. Can you tell me how to get to Carnegie Hall?"

The man answers, "Practice, practice, practice!"
