How does Van Gogh suggest 3 dimensional space in his original "Postman Joseph Roulin" (1888)? I'm honestly confused by what this means and I know he is sitting on a chair, resting his arm on a green table next to him but I am not sure if that explains this question about the picture. Can anyone please help? Thank You

I am looking for some Fine art courses (water colours, oil/acrylic painting, charcoal sketching etc), near powai, mumbai. preferably between 8.00am to 2.00pm. I am not interested in learning crafts of any form. I am ready to undertake training with a professional artist.

He was quoted for being a superficial person. He whenever asked what his work was about, responded with " I don't know". He pretty much left the judgment for his work up to the audience rather than to explain what it was about. So what do you think it's about? Is he in some way, against all his statements, actually protesting consumerism, with the soup cans and Brillo boxes, or, are they just as superficial as he said?

I'm writing a short story in which a man thinks he has found a painting by Khalo in some old lady's attic. He steals it and I want him to try and sell it only to find out its fake. How can I do so in a realistic fashion? Where would one go if one had found such a painting?

I think I’m finally over this vicious bug. So maybe karma had something to do with me staying home all last week and finally finishing this painting that I’ve put off for weeks and weeks. It has a name now. It’s called simply ‘Heritage,’

Of the five women in the painting the girl in the cap and gown is based on a photo of my daughter. The serious young woman writing is based on a photo of Anne Frank. The other women came out of my imagination. But I think I’m in love with the WWII nurse.

I need to replicate an oil or acylic art piece for a class assignment (i know not too creative). Im kinda stumped with any ideas. I would be deeply grateful for any suggestions.

If you have a favorite oil or acrylic artist, and even better a specific work, please let me know about it so I can check it out.

thanks
