How does Van Gogh suggest 3 dimensional space in his original "Postman Joseph Roulin" (1888)? I'm honestly confused by what this means and I know he is sitting on a chair, resting his arm on a green table next to him but I am not sure if that explains this question about the picture. Can anyone please help? Thank You

Look at his arms. He 'sticks them out' the painting. The perspective he uses is what makes it look 3D....kinda.
