A simple question. I have put the canvas fabric onto the stretcher. Do I really need to paint white vinyl coating? Or any coating? Cause I don't have any.

Can I paint acrylic paint on the canvas without it?

I want to make an art website which will be a large collection of old paintings of masterpiece. And the artist will be classified by the art movement and all of the works of a certain artist will be listed.
I have asked a question yesterday :The copyright about old oil painting? url http://answers.yahoo.com/question/;_ylc=X3oDMTE1MmI4N2IyBF9TAzIxMTU1MDAxMTgEc2VjA2Fuc19ub3QEc2xrA3N1YmplY3Q-;_ylv=3?qid=20071125063934AAEZESt

And I am very puzzled that how can these website do the same work without disobeying the copyright law?
Such as http://www.allposters.com/ ,which has over 300,000 posters, can they get the copyright of every painting?
Such as http://www.1st-art-gallery.com/, over 50,000 masterpiece paintings included, is it within the law? How can they do this?

and the http://www.oceansbridge.com/ and so on.
I have a large collection of masterpiece paintings. The digital photograph is not collected through the internet. All of them are masterpiece which are before 1900.

By this I mean you pour your heart and head into a project and afterwards are mentally and/or emotionally drained. But the urge to paint is still there. So, to creatively unwind do you ever do a little less serious art just to keep the flow going? Like paint just for the fun of painting?

If so, do you still take pride in your ‘dummy downed’ efforts, your silly fun stuff?

Want to guess which one of these I had to unwind after doing?

(And as always you can click or double click on the images to enlarge them.)

Personally, I kinda like doing the fun stuff.

Wife paints landscapes and then enhances them afterwards. It give it a distinct look but it is easily copied. We haven't seen this style before and she's starting to sell pieces. How can we protect from other people just copying her?

Word is going throughout the city that I live in about my paintings. I haven't sold any yet, but they are now on display. A local organization wants me to create a peice of art that they can use for t-shirts for their 'cause'. If I do a painting and sell them the picture (digital) who owns the rights? And if I keep the original painting and the rights, then are they allowed to use the art for anything other than tee-shirts? Any suggestions?

Hey guys.

Look, i have an art exam TOMORROW.
I have to paint an ornament of a horse in the style of an artist.

I need artists!!!

It would help if they painted horses.

PAINTED.

It would help if they weren't entirely famous like VanGogh.

It would help if they had a VERY recognisable style. THIS IS ESSENTIAL.

It would help if their style wasn't abstract OR too lifelike.

It would help if you gave me links.

It would help if they painted horses in bright colours.

It would help if I could apply their style to AN ORNAMENT - NOT A VIEW/SCENE.

It would help if you helped.

Please!!

{{ThanksSoMuch.}}

**ALREADY LOOKED AT FRANZ MARC
***THEY DONT HAVE TO PAINT HORSES
****THEY MUST BE ORIGINAL AND HAVE A WIKIPEDIA ABOUT THEM ~ THATS HOW FAMOUS
*****THEY MUST DO SOMETHING UNIQUE IN THE WAY THEY PAINT - HORSES OR OTHERWISE!!

THANKS SO MUCH.

About 6 months ago, I decided to start offering fun face painting for birthday parties, special events, stuff like that. Well, the good news is, I am super busy, and booking lots of events. Now, I think it is time to think about what I should be wearing to these. I want some type of costume, but I HATE clowns, they freak me out, so no clown costumes. Any ideas for what I could do to make myself look alittle bit more the part of a real , "Face painter"?? Also, I have started doing animal balloons too, so I want something fun. Thanks for all ideas!!
