Usually people create art because they are inspired to do so, whether that inspiration is from inside themselves or from something they have seen/done or experienced.

I do it for the feeling of accomplishing something worthwhile (like Rocky said; "I coulda been a contender!!" -In addition to this it is a "gift" (Truly didn't get it by hard work or any cleverness on my part) and to ignore this gift would be very selfish. Another thing is I some times didn't have enough money left over to buy myself a cup of coffee in the morning-so, it's OK to get paid too. I want to be as good a painter as I possibly can--even if I take a break and do a "fast" expressive sketch And there is no less value in that--if I do four and destroy three of them or even all of them if need B.

Because some of us just can NOT be satisfied- with the mundane. We prefer to ask, "Why not?"- instead of "Why?" We like to experiment, imagine & portray- the improbable, the unlikely- & the impossible JUST to make SURE that all the things we THINK are "out there"- aren't any closer than our imaginations... To create- is to Progress as Humans... :)
