Do you plan to sell supplies over the web?
No? Then don't go for catchy. Tell people what you are and where you are. Cleveland Art Supplies. Or Brewster Street Arts. Or use your name, if you wish to make a name for yourself: "Smith's Atalier" .
The Creative Brush excludes pastels. The Petulent Palette implies a problem with depression.
Where do you live? And who do you want to attract for clientele? Students? Children? Little Old Ladies who only paint on Sundays once a month? Or everyone?
If you have a real shop, then a simple name. If you have a website, then something that will draw every search possible, like "Brushes and Paint".
The Dusty Palette might not be promising. Rembrandt's Revenge might discourage Ruben's fans. The Silver Streak is taken. Every Artist's Alley I've ever seen was out of business in three years. The Artistic Eye sounds like an optomotrist's shop.
Hey, if you're any good as a teacher, "Jane Kline's Studio & Supplies" is going to succeed. But you'd really better know something about business. You can know about supplies, but if you can't work your overhead into the cost of your materials, then you're already done for. You also need to know how to get the best profit margin on your cost.
Do you know very much how vendors sell the materials? They would like you to buy in certain minimum dollar amounts, according to your account. And encourage you to purchase in (best-cost) minimums. Don't be drawn in to save a few cents. And don't get fancy with computers, or the variety of what you buy. Start small, very very small, and build very very slowly. Pleeeeeaaase!
