You don't need a class really, but Snazaroo - www.snazaroo.us - offers free classes.

Silly Farm - www.sillyfarm.com - is selling a Snazaroo pro kit for only $175 this month (of course there are many cheaper kits as well!). If you're serious, that's a great price for a lot of face paint.

Join the Google Group facepainthq (sign up can be found on the Snazaroo US homepage) for a great resource.

Oh, I'm just getting started too and those have been the valuable resources for me :)

You don't need a class, if you already draw, just develop your own designs. I really had when I see my designs come back to me painted by someone else. Get a good brand of paint, I personally like the Snazaroo brand, but there are others. Check out your local costume shops and see what they have. Some are water based and some oil bases. I like the water based because most of my clients are children and they smear the oils.

There are lots of them....you can go to art stores where painters offer classes you can take....you can go to summer schools where classes are offered. You can go to community classes (sometimes parks have them)...where professional teachers
teach. If you can't find one...go talk to a regular college art teacher and ask where to go....they will know......then when you finish High School you can go to jr. College and take the classes you want.

In the meantime, start painting what you see.....any practice works, teacher or not.

Maybe you could ask people if they want some paint on their face or do it in parties to practice, and you could buy your supplies in Target.

I'm not familiar with your area...or state..or country for that matter. ;-)

I did classes at the YMCA also you can try an theater school. They frequently have classes related to theater that that are not in the official curriculum and they let in 'civilians'.
