Whenever I draw one of my pictures, my rough work looks so fogged because I go over lines repeatedly, even the anatomy guidelines.
If I move my pencil too slow the line gets wobbily, and too fast might make me lose control and mess up.

So in the end I make so many lines I lose the basic form of what I wanted in the first place.

Any techniques you've discovered that might help?

I'm confused on where to purchase the film needed for a pinhole camera. I live in Massachusetts and really haven't seen any nice camera stores.

Anyone have any tips on pinhole cameras that most people don't think about trying or doing ?

I'd like to hear from someone who knows art. In my (ignorant, perhaps) opinion, abstract art looks like someone let my baby girl loose with a paintbrush and a pallette. I know it's supposed to be the artist's feelings and moods, but I would also be able to do that. So please explain what makes one abstract painting different than another.

I have three drawings from that particular person: One is of a house in the country, excluded from any civilization, the second is of another house in the country (in fairly greater disrepair), and the third is of a small schoolhouse building with a small steeple, also in the country. All these drawings were done in nothing but black ink and all have bare, leafless trees in the foreground. Thanks

I already looked at these guys: http://www.chicagophoto.org/newweb/index.php and they were FAR too expensive. Any other suggestions? I also looked at the Chicago Park District, but they either don't have any spots right now, or I have to wait until Sept. 24th to sign up, I wasn't sure from their website.

Which one is better? Which one do you recommend? I'm thinking about taking a digital photography class or maybe a regular photography class. Can someone just give me some information and advice because I have cameras for both but I dont know which one would be more fun.. etc etc. Any information will be helpful.

*Please no comments on just picking which one I like. I'm not sure yet so I'd like some information. THANKS!!

I'm just about to go into my 4th year at secondary school (I don't know what the equivalent is in America) and I've taken art as one of my options. My new teacher told us to go onto our vle (virtual learning environment) to get our homework for the holidays, so when everyone broke up, thats what we did, and we have to add more detail/finish off etc to our past art work in our sketchbooks. The only problem is is that our OTHER art teacher (a right old bat!) took in our books at the end of the year, saying we wouldn't need them. The homeworks due in first day back, and i don't know what to do! I don't want to give my new teacher a bad impression of me, because i normally give my homework in on time. What do you suggest i should do?! I've started just sketching random stuff, just to keep practising, but do you think thats enough? help!!!!

thanks in advance!

oh, and if anyone's going to be rude, then please don't bother answering!

thanks! =D

You know the token by the window light - as in beautiful tokens.

So I have a liking (i feel all warm and happy just thinking about it) for those loverly shots of people in daylight difussed through glass windows.

I had a shot of a young girl (one of my y/a friends daughter) shot beside a large window. Its not that sharp and not smoothly soft either, cropped tight its really (what word to use) tranquil in look. It has qualities (emotional, as opposed to technical blah blah) I usually only see in B+W, yet its ordinary digi colour.

So anyway Medium light source is where I'm going here: what are your methods for achieving pleasing to outstanding medium light source images using manmade light, ok I will ask that another way.

How do you like to create a medium light source not using the sun.

Thanks all, answer the question or describe images that impressed you with medium, window or manmade etc.

Hi everyone.
I m a bit confused about this copyright thing. Im thinking to take some photos that i can sell on istock or similar sites. My question is : can i sell photos of brand items as long as i remove or crop their logo from the photo?
I c alot of pictures of phones and ipods and laptops, but they have no logos or they are cropped a certain way or blurred a way that u can that that the item is a ipod for example, but the logo is not showing. Can i sell photos like that? I dont wanna thing that all those photos in istok are displaying custom made fake products that resamble the original one. Anyone know about this?
