I'm confused on where to purchase the film needed for a pinhole camera. I live in Massachusetts and really haven't seen any nice camera stores.

Anyone have any tips on pinhole cameras that most people don't think about trying or doing ?

Pinhole camera come in all sizes - you use the film appropriate for the camera.

Pinhole lens caps for 35mm cameras - use 35mm film.

Specialized pinhole cameras come in two sizes. 120 roll film and sheet film cameras. Use 120 roll film or the sheet film size of your camera 4x5 or 5x7 usually.

Purchase film through any online dealer or larger professional stores in major cities. 35mm film is available even still at most drugstores (in the US).

Here's a good resource:

I made a hole in the round plastic piece that goes over the body where a lens would attach. I made a pinhole in a thin piece of brass (or you could have it done at a machine shop) and taped that over the hole in the body cap/plate with electrical or other black tape. I put the body cap back on the camera. I had one for an RZ and 35 mm camera. After a while my eyes adjusted, and I could see through the eyepiece and the tiny pinhole and compose my photographs as usual. Any film that fits a camera set up like this will work. You would just load your film as usual and have it developed and printed as usual...or develop and print it yourself.
