im doing an art project and the theme for my painting is "peace, love, and happiness". im having a dove represent peace, a heart represent love, but what represents happiness? (other than a smiley face) i want it to have a nice peaceful flowing feel, and a smiley face doesnt fit in with the dove....it just makes it look like a hippie painting and thats like the opposite of what im going for.

I mean, I don't know if I want to change my career this late in my life. I am 30 years old and established in my present career. But I would really love to be a photographer in some capacity. I have been interested in being a professional photographer for the past 8 years. I've only just now made it a serious hobby and I'm pretty good with a 35mm SLR but I want to switch to digital and learn photoshop. I'm taking a digital photography workshop this spring to get started. If there are any professionals established in the business reading this, are there any directions or advice you could offer me? My Uncle shoots professionally after pretty much teaching himself the trade, I can't get a hold of him nowadays, but I'd love to know is it better to have some sort of formal education or learn through experience, or both? If I need the formal education, how much? I thank anyone with input in advance.

Also, I'd love to mentor with anyone who has the time.

I want to know what's the name of this type of art,I have seen it all over the web and logos...can't come up with a site right now but it is used in Daddy Yankee's Website (www.daddyyankee.com),Its the opening part when come lines appear and start to create like some leaves or something like that,sorry can't really explain it but u will see it.THX

i'm looking for an ad made by hewlett packard and the guitar company fender. In this ad different people is shown trying to play smoke in the water of deep purple. Is nice. i'm looking for one of the same series but with the national gallery of london.

I know i am capable and i know i have ability but whenever i try to draw or paint i feel as if their is some type of barrier keeping me from any type of creative thought, leaving me frustrated and ready to give up. if you have been on the ride u probably have notices the portrait of the red head pirate girl obove the pirate bar, where skeletons are drinking rum and its going right through them. well, my boyfriend loves that portrait and i was thinking i would like to print it out and it would be an awsome tatoo. or at the least to have a copy or a print to hang at home. problem is i cant find it anywhere. so my question is has anyone seen it online. if so please share the adress, or a copy of the gif. will do! thanks so much

Once I have the reading, how exactly do I know what I need to adjust on my camera? I'm sure it has something to do with either the ISO, or F-stop or both.

For example, my FNo. Indictor is reading "2" and a second LED reads 2/3. What's the formula to match this, or any such numbers, up with my camera settings?

My friend has a metal band, and I'm making the ablum artwork for his CD. The CD name is "The Rise of Revelation". So far, I have his band name, the CD name, and two blade things in the background with a green background color.

What are some ideas for the background? I can't think of anything. Thanks!

a have 2 colored pencils that work for skin. they are both crayola's, one is peach, the other is sand. I used both on previos pictures but I couldn't decide wich to use. if it helps, the setting of the charactor is in a desert. I drew him before with the 2 pencils but it is still not working out. I just finished his other colors. so please hurry on this one.
