good graffiti is artwork...however bad graffiti is ugly and vandalism...
and there is more vandals than artists out there...

Because most of the graffiti is stupid sh!t that people use to mark their turf, much like a dog. I think it is funny how cities have to put razor wire around their street signs to keep taggers from marking them up. I am all for legislation that would remove the thumbs of anyone caught vandalizing another's property with graffiti. Maybe then I wouldn't have to see that ugly sh!t all over the place. A bit harsh I know, but they have no right to paint something that is not theirs.

You are stupid! Someone worked so hard to paint the wall a single color, then you go and paint over it, causing someone money to get it repainted. Plus most graffiti is just stupid people tagging and trying to mark there spot like a dog. Now don't get me wrong, a true graffiti artist can lay down some nice stuff, and I can respect that. But in most cases it's all crap!

I just moved from Europe and now I live in Michigan...
I grew up with graffiti, here's the thing I started art when I was about 4 and by the age of 10 I started sketching and by the age of 11 I started graffiti,........................ and still doing it.
1- Not your wall, not your choice
2- "Bozo" is a hater and just wants to scare you or p!ss you off.

some graffitti is just plain ugly.
you get a descent wall or building and there is nothing but words and names. yea, if the colors are prime stylish it could look alright but they are usually in gray or black and just booring.
If you are referring to the murials that are painted on the sides of buildings then yes they can be quite decorative.
Did you know that CTA in Chicago actually gave out college grants for the artist that won best graffitti in chicago?

Beats me. Half the the time it looks better than what it's painted over. I always thought the NY subway cars looked awesome after they'd been tagged.

sum people hate it bcuz it may say bad words it may b offensive and it can be considered a crime. unless someone asked 4 there building to b that way then its ok

They hate it because it is put where it is not suppose to be. Like on other people's buildings and it doesn't come off that easily.

It's vandalism.
(Also called destroying property).
If you don't think so, let someone do it to your car, your house, your room, your suede jacket, or whatever you own. Also, try to remove it with your own money.
