I started with aclyrics which was fine. Now, I am stepping into oils and due to the use of thinners, I have stop. Any ideas??

I use old metal paint cans. They seal tight... Just dump your old thinner in there... After awhile it will turn to varnish... But the oil paint will settle to the bottom and you can use the thinner over... IF it has NOT varnished... If it is something you do not want then there are places to "dump" or take the harmful materials too. Call your city and they will give you the number to your local hazardous recycling or dumping center….

And since the can is SEALED then ya don't have to worry about spillage...

Kitty litter to absorb the thinner, then check with your refuse collector to see if they will take in their regular trash (some will) or if the have a hazardous materials drop off.
