I'm thinking of getting a Canon Powershot SD800 IS. It's got all the great features I want, plus the compact size. Problem is, it doesn't have a Creative zone (Av, Tv, and P), so I can't manually adjust the aperture and shutter speed. The manual mode for this camera automatically adjusts both.

I just wanted to know how else I can manipulate depth of field and blurriness of pictures other than having to manually adjust, like I used to do with my previous camera. Thanks!

P.S. I really need some serious answers 'coz I'm already having second thoughts about purchasing this model. I'm torn between Powershot SD800 IS (Pro: Compact size means I can take pictures anytime, anywhere, which is my point in getting a camera; Con: No creative zone) and Powershot A570 IS (Pro: Creative Zone, for some times when I feel artsy; Con: Bulky)

I use a pc and always have.
What is the benefit to switch? I have heard ease of use for the mac's but I dont really care about that unless the mac somehow give you a better quality end result witch I dont really think could be true? am I wrong? Is the results using a mac so much better or do mac's users just like being the rebel, witch I can understand completely.

As in comics (zzzZZZzzzZZZ) and the saying, catching Z's. How did Z's become related to sleeping? I can't figure it out. The only thing I can think of is that some artist used it in a comic and it just stuck.

Someone help me!

I was told I need a picture of 300 dpi (high resolution) to use but I don't know much about this. If my picture's info says it's a resolution of 96 x 96 dots per inch, does that mean it's at least 300 dpi?

I have seen that many talented artists like actors, writers, painters, poets, composers.musicians and other artists are truly solitary types.they like spending time alone and during this particular time is when they put their talents to work.if you consider yourself a solitary type, you are truly an artist.

I want to start making pottery but I can't buy a kiln. Can you put real clay (not the cheap kind you buy at craft stores) into a regular oven?

I just bought a Leica FED-3 and yes, I have read the manual that's online. My problem is that I can't seem to adjust the rangefinder so that it alings with the actual image. I've moved the focus lens to both sides but the rangefinder doesn't seem to budge. Should i buy a new lens or what should i do?

I want to know what surfaces chalk can be applied on and then easily washed off of because I wanted to go around my house and put some random drawings down (like Mario and Luigi).

I wanted to work on:
My driveway
The Fence
The mail box
The sidewalk
My garage door

Also if I make a mistake on a drawing, is there any way to delicately erase it? (AKA NOT just spray it all with water and start over again?)

p.s. Is it legal to draw in the middle of the road? cause it's not my property, but it's right infront of it. :/
