I use a pc and always have.
What is the benefit to switch? I have heard ease of use for the mac's but I dont really care about that unless the mac somehow give you a better quality end result witch I dont really think could be true? am I wrong? Is the results using a mac so much better or do mac's users just like being the rebel, witch I can understand completely.

In terms of the end product being better on a mac versus a pc they aren't. However, the Apple operating system does offer various design and calibration tools which makes the mac a bit more attractive to photographers and designers. However, this is not to say that with your PC you can't purchase similar third party software titles that could match what the mac operating system has. In terms of ease of use, if you are fine working with your PC then continue to do so. For some people it can be a real pain to have to relearn a new operating system although beit I find going between both operating systems seamless. As for the whole idea about being mac users being rebels, I think that designation should be left to those who use Unix, Linux, or SGI's Irix OS.

Not sure I agree MACs are better. I do everything I need to do on a PC..and I do a lot. Photoshop CS2 and all the add ins, work just fine on a PC. I do have a mac in the house, but it's for my kids. Why do I use a PC - well - it's where I started and so far there is no reason to swtich.

So the single most important thing when you're working digitally is your printer profiles, and macs just tend to be better at this.

Honestly though the difference between the two is narrowing. For instance, I color balanced my pc's lcd at home to the mac I print off and now I correct all my images on my home pc after I scan them off an imacon.
