should I wear contacts or eyeglasses while I am taking picture to get images in focus on the film with a through-the-the lens manual focusing camera. Or does it matter at all?

can anyone help me with this!

ok, I'm going to photograph at night, photographing "traffic trails" through b+w film photography.

I've been advised to use a "netral density filter".

I understand a filter as a little celophane square you use in the darkroom, but i get the impression that this "neutral density filter" is one I acutally put on the camera (somehow?!!?!)

can anyone explain this really simply to me?
what is a neutral density filter?
how do i attach one to my camera?
do you think i should use this filter for night photography, photographing traffic trails?

thankyou sooo much! i swear ill get the hang of photography one day!

When a positive print has light spots on it, is the debris on the negative or is it a result of debris from the film processor?

I am doing a report in art history on use of Absinthe in impressionism and 18th century parisian cafe culture. Basically, i am supposed to pretend i am a gallery currator, trying to arrange a show. i need to shoot for at least eight pieces by artists/absinthe drinkers....the catch is, i am really only looking for pictures with absinthe, absinthe drinkers, and absinthe symbolism...so far i have lined up
Van Gough-"Still Life with Absinthe"
Degas -"The Absinthe Drinker" (L'absinthe)
Edouard Manet-"The Absinthe Drinker"
Toulouse-Lautrec- "portait of Vincent Van Gogh"

can you think of anything else??

I have 12 beautiful Pastel portraitures and am kind of
worried about their proper care and preservation. I
have very little knowledge in this area, but have
learned not to use a fixative because the sheen and
brightness of the art is often lost. I am looking for
the most economical means to acheive a museum like
state of preservation. I am in northern CA if that helps, but I am looking for professional help. Can anyone recommend someone that can help me in this endeavor.

i had a dream not to long ago where i was [this is gross] chopping off a 4 year old's legs and putting them into a box and he was trying to escape but i would'nt let him, and we where at the bottom of a staircase and it was really dark, and he was crying loudly!

anyway i woke up at like 3:00 in the morning, and because i have a 4 yr old brother, i started to cry and i went upstairs to lay with him [he was sleeping] and even today i don't know why i had that dream and it's scary for me to think about it, and i hate going to bed because i can't really control my dreams, i USED TO, but for some reason i can't control what i dream about, and i feel really guilty for something that gruesome, any idea how i can over this, it's making me sick to my stomach

PLEASE NO BAD COMMENTS! i know it's a horrid thing to dream about but i could'nt do anything about it!

I have an engraving by A Van Ostade from the Vincent Price Collection which was purchased in the late 1950's from a show at Sears. It is approximately 4-1/2 x 6 inches in size. Where can I find the value of this piece of art from the 17th Century?

I'm new to this, but does anyone know what medium I would use to make a mold from a stone. In other words, There is an old building with a beautiful design sculpted in to it. I want to copy this design. I know there is a material out there that I can press against the original design and make a mold of it and then cast the design in plaster. I just don't know what material I would use to do this without hurting the stone.... Help!!!

Volleyball is an extremely difficult sport to photograph due to the ball and players moving so fast and sudden. At the last game I tried, I played with different presets, aperture, ISOs, and shutter speeds. Nothing seemed to work just right. I'm constricted to using no flash and I'm stuck with yellowish gym lighting. I have a Sony Alpha and the next game is tomorrow. Any suggested manual settings or other tips so I can get the best pictures as possible?
(I also have access to Photoshop so I can change lighting and anything else I need to afterwards.)
