This is called "The Wave" and it is at mile marker 19 off of hwy. 89 in AZ. Only 10 ppl a day are allowed to go in there, (its on federal land) and off hand I don't know how to get permission. Start with the US Forest Service.

I've seen this landscape pictured before, but can't remember where it is. Obviously distorted sedimentay rock. Certainly beautiful. I vaguely think it may be in Mesopotamia, or somewhere in the Middle East, but not sure. I'd suggest you email "National Geographic", USA. Good luck

There are many places in the American southwest that look similar to this. It could be Moab, Zion, Monument, but probably somewhere in those areas.
Beautiful, isn't it?!
