My friend has a metal band, and I'm making the ablum artwork for his CD. The CD name is "The Rise of Revelation". So far, I have his band name, the CD name, and two blade things in the background with a green background color.

What are some ideas for the background? I can't think of anything. Thanks!

Can you give additional info about colors you'd like to use, besides green? I'll try to give you an answer based on what you did say, but I wish there were more.

If it's metal, black is obviously a must, but there's more to it than just that. I'd use scratched metallic textures, and if it's "the rise", then I'd do a sort of thing where a (possibly green) light source shines up from the bottom, to illustrate that.

Edit: I've added an example of scratched metal in the sources section. Just for texture, so it's not a boring one-color background. I think that losing the green would be best, and adding black and blood red would look great against such a background. Black-red-white is a VERY eye-catching, attractive, yet simple combination.

Perhaps something that is a play on the words in the title: Like Revelation is a book of the Bible about the end of the world so having dark angel wings or clouds or some kind of dragon-like scales to refer to "the Beast". Or use "rise" like a sunrise with rays coming up over a dark horizon.
Kind of random but I hope that helps.
