Black i guess is a Primary Color like Red Yellow And Blue because it can't be made by other colors mix together. red yellow and blue mix is a color muddy grey

In theory the three primaries would give you black. In practice it doesn't work since no pigment is 'pure' color. Alizerin Crimson and Veridian Green give a very rich grey color that I've used.

Alizarin Crimson mixed with Ultramarine Blue will make black. When I was in college a professor accused me of using a tube of black paint instead of mixing these two together, because this mixture makes such a rich black.

Its a combination of the primaries two colors wont do it. but for a truley black shade you must purchase a black other wise it looks very muddy

with acrylics: mix alizarian crimson and phthlo green-blue.
layer the colors, and you get a rich near-black with a greenish tint

I like the burnt umber and ultramarine blue.
its up to you as to what "black" suits what you need more a red, blue or green tint to it.
