I always end up with blurry shots. No tripod suggestions.

I'd really like to get into photography but this condition is really making it hard for me to take decent pictures. My hand just trembles while I hold a camera be it digital or film or celphone

The Art Renewal Center website has many high resolution images of old paintings. I would like to use some of these to produce a calendar and other items which I would sell.

My understanding is that if the original artist has been dead for 70 years or more, the images are in the public domain. Is this correct? As long as I avoid using artwork from more recently deceased or living artists, would I be "legal"?

I've searched the website but I can't find any specific references to copyright of the artwork or any mention of public domain issues. It's almost as if they are avoiding the issue, but I may just have been looking in the wrong places.

Any advice would be useful, as would any suggestions where I can find high resolution art work in the public domain.

Can anyone give me a list of colors (along with a variety of shades, hues, tints, etc.) or a website that lists them? This is for a scene in my novel when I'm describing different reds, oranges, yellows, and black. I tried a Google search. But all I got was art supplies websites. Thanks.

Please don't link me to Wikipedia or surrealism.com or some such website. I need this explained in a way which is easy to understand.
Thanks.

Looking for artist who did AMAZING realist oil paintings. Some of the titles of these paintings are: "Peach Crate" (1998), "Potted Flowers" (2001), "Garden Gloves" (2001, etc. Does anyone know of this artist or how I can search to find him/her? If I list the titles, I get all kinds of garbage... how can I narrow my search, please?

I have taken many photographs and host them on my website. A company has got in touch and said that they'd like to use some in a book. At the moment they're just putting it together. But, how much should I charge per photo. I think they'll be using at least 5. Any ideas.

If you're guessing please say so, otherwise say why you said the price you did.

PS - I don't know how many copies of the book will be printed.

It is black and white and printed on paper [220cm x 140cm].
The centre scene looks as though a King is issuing a piece of paper to the men that are queing up and kneeling before him. In the background is a harbour with a church. There is one tall ship, and a gondola - I think I can also see St mark's cathedral - which would suggest Venice [?].
At the bottom of the picture, in the centre are the words "Op Victore Carpatio Venete".
In the top right hand side of the painting, a man and his wife are sat in a chamber - he looks troubled. There is a madonna and child hanging on the wall.
It's a beautiful picture and I would love some more information on it. More than happy to send a picture to anyone that thinks they may be able to help out.

I'm doing an RE project on spirituality and i have 2 ideas of how i can represent how i see the spirit in the modern world through art.

Idea 1) Theres this really neglected poor sullen looking person in a cage or cell. Its really distraught screaming and crying and trying to get free. It is a representation about how if some people dont let their spirit free and to be their real selves their spirit becomes neglected weak and close to dying.

Idea 2)Theres a face with a mask on but its either beggining to slip or the person is taking it off and underneath is this really really beautiful girl. It is supposed to represent that whatever a person is or looks like on the surface if you look beneath the mask you might find something beautiful.

constructive critisicsm and additional ideas are welcome. I really need your help! thanx in advance.
